Another successful EC Spring Golf Outing
Birdies, bogeys, and pars, oh my! Friendly competition and strong community were on full display at Wild Turkey Golf Club in Hamburg on Monday, May 20 for the annual EC Spring Golf Outing. A sold-out event featured 132 golfers enjoying a beautiful, sunny day out on the course, and together with 50 sponsors, raised more than $83,000. Proceeds will go towards the painting and bleacher replacement project in the high school gym. These major improvements will impact a variety of events including daily gym and health classes, high school activities, basketball and volleyball games, graduation ceremonies, and so much more.
Our golfers started the day with a putting contest and lunch before hitting the course for the scramble format. There was no shortage of friendly competition that afternoon, especially on Hole #14, where the annual Beat the EC Golf Team Member contest took place. Senior, Nehemiah Rhee, and junior, Ethan Nashold, took turns teeing off as the golfers tried to best their shot. It was great to see alumni golf team members tee off against current students!
After a gorgeous day on the course, the golfers gathered under the tent for a buffet dinner, announcement of the day’s winners, and additional prizes.

There was a tie for first place with two foursomes coming in at -15, but our first place foursome won the tie-breaker with their scores on the most to least difficult holes. It took five holes to determine the winner. Fierce competition!
